Getting to know Desire Hill

Hello! I have been helping clients for over 20 years to learn and practice coping skills that improve the quality of their lives, their relationships, and bring them peace and joy. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and am certified in EMDR Therapy, which allows me to help clients process and integrate trauma issues. I love seeing the change and progress as we journey together through solving problems and seeing the world through a more positive perspective.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You will learn/practice coping skills in sessions - learning how to deal with life stressors, depression, anxiety, trauma (I am certified in EMDR), and existential issues. I want you to leave each session feeling hopeful about the future and ready to use what you have learned in real-life situations. I also actively and empathically listen to YOU. I want to know how you feel, what you need, and I am here to validate you and propel you to succeed in every area of your life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
