Hello, I'm Destini Love, and I'm so glad you're here. Birmingham is where my heart resides, as it's where I met my wonderful husband and welcomed our beautiful children into the world. My journey in mental health began with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from Jacksonville State University, followed by a graduate degree in Social Work from Alabama A&M University. My post-graduate training includes cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed/trauma-responsive care, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a certified Juvenile Sexual Offense Counselor, and a certified Spiritual Director. My personal and professional experiences have shaped my holistic approach to therapy. I founded a private practice to help individuals heal from a comprehensive perspective, and I am thrilled to continue this mission with SonderMind. I am passionate about serving individuals and families, coaching and cultivating leaders, and creating safe spaces for souls to thrive. My goal is to normalize mental healthcare and witness the miraculous transformations that occur when individuals are healed, whole, and equipped. I specialize in a variety of areas including anger management, anxiety, family relationships, medical issues, multicultural and diversity issues, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, stress, spirituality, life transitions, and trauma.
