Hi, I’m Destiny—a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can happen. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and the complex experience of being BIPOC in environments that may not always feel safe or affirming.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe that you are the expert of your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, insight, and nonjudgmental support. Whether you’re seeking to process the past, manage day-to-day stress, or build confidence in who you are becoming, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and purpose.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You can expect therapy with me to be warm, collaborative, and affirming. I aim to create a calming space where you feel genuinely seen and heard—where vulnerability is met with care, and where your full identity is welcome.
I understand how difficult it can be to carry the weight of self-doubt, trauma, or cultural invisibility. My role is to support you as you unlearn harmful patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward the life you want to live. Whether you're new to therapy or returning after some time, we'll move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our first session will be a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and honors your lived experience.
Sessions will be collaborative and tailored to your needs. Depending on your goals, we may explore patterns, build coping strategies, process difficult emotions or events, and challenge limiting beliefs. My goal is always to hold space for both your healing and your growth—while empowering you with tools that are practical and meaningful in your everyday life.
