Getting to know Devan Bertolino

Are you frustrated by your emotions and how they impact your relationships? Instead of shame and self-blame, I will help you learn to respond to yourself with curiousity and compassion. I take a client centered approach to healing complex traua and together we can go on a journey to discover your inner parts and meet their needs. Some specific identities and diagnosies I love working with include Faith Transitions, Religious Trauma, LGBTQ, Intuitive Eating and Body Image, ADHD, Autism, and cPTSD. I also love working with professional burnout among helping professionals including teacher, nurses, and first responders.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer trauma informed care with a feminist multicultrual lens. I have been trained in Feminist Multicultural Therapy and I have continued my education by taking trainings in topics such as Gender Affirming Care, Kink, Polyamory, Autism, Coming out Later in Life, LGBTQ+ Suicide Prevention, and working with parents of TGNC Youth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My clients can expect to leave our sessions feeling more connected with themselves and their emotions. They'll experience a boost of self-compassion and feel empowered to cope with challenges. The changes they implement will be from a place of self-love, rather than shame.
