Getting to know Devaunier Cannon
My name is DeVaunier Cannon. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Being in the helping profession is what I wanted to do since I was a child. My professional experience began in 2016 as a therapist, case manager, and discharge planner at a mental health hospital. Working with people in crisis was difficult, but it gave me an opportunity to learn how to handle crisis situations such as individuals who were actively and passively suicidal or homicidal, severe depression and anxiety, struggles with psychosis, substance abuse and detoxing, and victims or perpetrators of abuse. I have also worked for a mobile crisis unit, assessing and providing resources for individuals and their families.
You are my ideal client! As your helper in the therapeutic relationship, I will empathize with, challenge, and push you toward greatness. My approach is supportive, open, honest, and transparent. No matter the goal, we can reach it. As long as you are willing to put in the work, I know that we can conquer anything. The therapy I provide is designed specifically for your needs. You will become the best version of yourself!
