Hi there, I'm Devin! Hello everyone! My name is Devin Myers, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Lexington, South Carolina. I recently began working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master's in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University. I usually work with adolescents and their parents to address barriers within their relationships that prevent cohesiveness in the family. I specialize in repairing current and past relationship hurts, increasing parenting skills, and treating anxiety, stress, and depression using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT). My approach I love MDFT's approach to therapy because it centers on the belief that parents are the key to providing their child with the bright future they deserve. There is no better vehicle for change than a parent's love for their child. I get to come alongside parents and help them overcome whatever barriers are preventing growth in their child's life or their own. My focus I typically work with teenagers/adolescents and their parents. I have supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, work stress, parental frustrations, and more. I believe the mental health of the parent is just as important as the child's because I wholeheartedly embrace the expression, “one cannot pour from an empty cup.” If you are a parent who feels your mental health is keeping you from being there for your child the way you wish, please reach out!
