Getting to know Devon Herzoff
Devon is a passionate and patient clinician who views his clients as true partners in the journey toward healing and growth. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, he utilizes a clinical framework that is trauma-informed, solutions-focused, and strengths-based to help individuals achieve the meaningful results they strive for. Devon integrates tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques to empower clients with practical skills for navigating life’s challenges and mitigating distress.
Devon provides expert care for young children, adolescents, and adults. His areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, psychosis, mania, grief and loss, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger and frustration tolerance, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention. Above all, Devon remains committed to providing an unbiased, compassionate, empathetic, and overall safe space for every person he serves.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Devon approaches all clients with patience, a calm presence, a rational outlet and a space to work alongside you as a support system to help you obtain your goals or the improvement you are really looking for. Devon views the therapeutic alliance between himself and his clients as a 50-50 relationship. They are partners in this journey and he is here to learn from the client as much as the client is there to learn from him.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My diagnostic process includes talk therapy, motivational interviewing, a narrative approach that is trauma focused, solutions focused and strengths-based. We build the foundation together and work together every step of the way we work together. Below is a breakdown of what the therapy "timeline" could look like or how our work together is structured.
Intake and Screening (Pre-Consultation)

Assessment and Clinical Formation
-The early sessions focus on building rapport and gathering client history.
Collaborative Treatment Planning
-We will work together to define a roadmap or plan forward together.
Active Treatment and Intervention
-This is the core of the therapeutic work, where the actual change, growth, improvement or symptom reduction happens!
