Devon Pereira, LPCA

Devon Pereira, LPCA

Psychotherapist
CT
I have experience working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages. My work in both school and hospital settings has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of mental health challenges across the lifespan, as well as experience navigating crisis situations and complex family dynamics. These experiences allow me to bring an adaptable, collaborative, and resourceful approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. I was drawn to this field after often being known as the “therapist friend” throughout my adolescence. I value being an attentive listener and enjoy helping others gain clarity, whether in my professional work or personal relationships. Having done my own work to understand and strengthen my coping skills, I believe in helping clients discover the strategies, strengths, and practices that work best for them. Therapy can be a powerful opportunity for growth, healing, and self-discovery. If you're ready to make meaningful changes and take the next step in your therapeutic journey, I would be honored to support you along the way. Devon has a Masters of Science in Counseling and Human Services with a focus on Clinical Counseling. Devon is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LPC-A [5824] at Cerebral. Supervised by Renee Cross, LPC, LCPC, ACS.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to provide a relaxed, conversational space where you feel genuinely heard, safe, and completely at ease. I welcome the idea of showing up exactly as you are, rather than rehearsing what to say. I believe in creating a safe space to easily provide therapeutic strategies while also encouraging a comfortable environment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in my ability to blend evidence-based practices with a warm approach that honors my client’s unique life story and background. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all framework, I collaborate with you in real time to build practical, everyday tools while safely exploring and healing the deeper roots of your challenges.
