Hello, I’m Devon Rankin, LMFT (#123947) — a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 11 years and have been licensed since 2021. My experience spans across telehealth, community-based, and private practice settings, providing therapy to individuals, couples, families, teens, and children.
My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I help clients explore the root causes of distress, strengthen emotional awareness, and rebuild healthy patterns in relationships and daily life. I integrate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Client-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to support holistic healing.
Documentation and Administrative Services Policy:
The primary purpose of psychotherapy is assessment and treatment. Requests for letters, forms, reports, or other documentation are separate professional services and are not included as part of psychotherapy.
I will not provide documentation, certifications, recommendations, or opinions that I cannot objectively or ethically support, or that extend beyond my role as a treating therapist.
Completion of documentation is at my professional discretion and may be declined if the request is outside my scope of practice, lacks sufficient clinical support, presents a conflict with ethical or legal standards, or is more appropriately completed by another qualified professional.
Letters, forms, reports, record reviews, and other administrative services completed outside of scheduled psychotherapy sessions are not covered by most insurance plans and are billed separately according to the current Practice Fee Schedule. Fees will be reviewed with the client before work begins.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card
on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be
provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks
after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the
claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your
responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for
services. For
out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s
self-pay rate,
and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for
potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
