Getting to know Diamond Turner

I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2017 with a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. For over 7 years, I have assisted various demographics of people desiring therapy services, from families to couples to young children to adolescents to older adults. I have worked both in clinical settings as well as directly in families' homes. Currently, I exclusively provide telehealth counseling services to adults and couples.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is largely based in advocacy and empowerment. It is my belief that we are in control of our own destinies, and it is up to us to see the path to self-actualization. I do not give advice, but rather assist clients in structuring and rearranging their current lifestyles so that they can better see their own paths.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My clients will come away with an increased sense of self-advocacy, confidence, and authenticity which will lead to a clearer perspective on managing chronic and acute stressors. Most clients see improvement within the first 4 sessions.
