Historically, I’ve felt anxious fully opening up to therapists. Within in a few sessions with Diana, I felt comfortable being myself. I attribute this to her empathetic demeanor as well as the many opportunities she gives for feedback. Finally, she is very accommodating and receptive to session needs and preferences. I am a registered dance/movement therapist and licensed creative arts therapist with a Master's in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor's from City University of New York, Hunter College. I have been working in the field for four years. My primary areas of expertise include working through current and past trauma, improving coping skills, impulse control, setting appropriate physical boundaries, and expanding creative expression.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am effective in engaging clients of all culturally diverse backgrounds. I am passionate in working through your relationship difficulties in order to supplement successful communication, create safety and trust. I am continually present and prepared to assist you in your needs.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
A session will introduce you to strategies to improve your relationships, grounding techniques, and self-awareness. We will begin with talking and slowly introduce art, movement, or writing, if it seems helpful or interesting to you.

I really enjoyed meeting with Diana. I was apprehensive about therapy, but she made me feel so comfortable to open up. I feel like I was able to gain insight into myself, how I present myself, and my relationship. Diana created a warm and caring space, and I felt I could open up without being judged. I look forward to continuing to work with her to build myself and help me give the emotional release I need.
