Getting to know Diana D'Ambrose
I am a compassionate therapist with over eight years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re dealing with past experiences that won’t let go, struggling to cope with daily stressors, or finding it hard to set healthy boundaries, I create a safe space where we can work through these challenges together at your own pace.
I am a board-certified dance/movement therapist, and licensed creative arts therapist, and have been working in the field for eight years. My primary areas of expertise are working through current and past trauma, processing grief, getting in control of anxiety, and expanding creative expression.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am training in psychodynamic theory, in which I explore unconscious biases to understand childhood beliefs and retrain thinking patterns. I offer creative arts therapy interventions including Authentic Movement to access and uncover hidden memories through a trauma-informed approach.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
A typical session includes exploration of why you're seeking therapy at this time, understanding your habits and behaviors in relationships, or any other areas you'd like to become aware of or change.
Please reach out to me to schedule an initial session. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you!

We have not known Diane for too long but my teenage daughter loves her. She has a good relationship with her. Diane is professional and friendly. Diana is incredibly present and compassionate! I really enjoy her combination of traditional talk therapy with movement, art, journaling, and other productive exercises. Historically, I’ve felt anxious fully opening up to therapists. Within in a few sessions with Diana, I felt comfortable being myself. I attribute this to her empathetic demeanor as well as the many opportunities she gives for feedback. Finally, she is very accommodating and receptive to session needs and preferences. I am so grateful to have found her and am a way better version of myself as a result.

I really enjoyed meeting with Diana. I was apprehensive about therapy, but she made me feel so comfortable to open up. I feel like I was able to gain insight into myself, how I present myself, and my relationship. Diana created a warm and caring space, and I felt I could open up without being judged. I look forward to continuing to work with her to build myself and help me give the emotional release I need.
