What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are; no pressure, no judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or returning during a new chapter of life, I’ll meet you where you are and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change. I offer telehealth sessions with flexible scheduling to fit into your everyday life. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families across in-home, foster care, and medical/clinical settings. This background has shaped my understanding of how complex life can be—and how important it is to feel supported along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our early sessions, we’ll take time to get to know what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping for. Together, we’ll identify your goals and create a path forward that feels realistic and aligned with your needs. We might focus on current challenges, life transitions, or gently explore past patterns—always at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, insight, and practical tools. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand patterns in your thoughts and behaviors while building coping strategies that feel doable in real life. When it fits your goals, we can also use solution-focused approaches to help you move through specific challenges with clarity and confidence. If you’re ready to begin, I’m here to support you.
