Diane Carota treats patients starting at 13 years old. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, holding a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Western Institute for Social Research. Diane enjoys working with adults, families, and teenagers. She has worked in various settings throughout her 20-year career, including hospitals, community-based behavioral health clinics, schools, and other outpatient settings.
Diane uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help her patients identify and correct negative and destructive thought patterns and behaviors. She also employs short-term psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore unconscious processes as they are manifested in their present behavior. Diane is experienced in other treatment modalities that will be used on an individual basis. Some of her clinical experiences include working with individuals who have anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship difficulties, post-trauma related symptoms, grief, divorce, blended families, and parenting issues.
