Getting to know Diane Davis
As a licensed psychotherapist with a holistic perspective, I work with adults to address troubling issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. I am also experienced in concerns related to sexuality, sexual identity, and relationships. I fine-tune my approach to best fit each individual and seek to understand the world from your angle.
I have a particular interest in working with artists, writers, performers, and others with a creative drive. This includes those for whom creativity is an important aspect of their life, if not their career. I have experience in resolving inhibitions and insecurities that act as barriers to creative expression and successful relationships. Additionally, I have worked with more severe issues such as PTSD, traumatic loss, grief, and those confronting illness or loss. Many people attend weekly sessions, while those seeking deeper or more accelerated change often choose more frequent visits.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and a Certificate in Psychoanalytics from the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center. People of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, races, and sexual orientations are welcome, particularly individuals who feel themselves to be outside of the mainstream.
