I’m Diane Valente, LCSW-R, a licensed clinical social worker with over 14 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, identity shifts, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices including Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and somatic strategies. What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe me as approachable, insightful, and grounding. I offer a nonjudgmental space where your thoughts, feelings, and lived experiences are met with curiosity and compassion. My work is guided by the belief that healing happens in the context of safe, attuned relationships—and that includes the therapeutic one we’ll build together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use a third party billing company called headway where you will be able to book our first session. In our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, clarify your goals, and identify practical tools you can begin using right away. I tailor each session to your needs, blending skill-building with deeper exploration of patterns and emotions. Virtual Sessions I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions through a user-friendly platform. Before your appointment, you’ll receive a link and simple instructions for logging in. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection. Sessions are 45 minutes and begin on time—please come ready to talk, reflect, and collaborate.
