Getting to know Dina Abdelrahman

You don't have to face your thoughts and emotions alone. A peaceful life is possible, regardless of your circumstances. We're often troubled more by our perceptions than by reality itself. Sometimes, our thoughts-not our situation-are the scariest part. Even when life gets hard, how we see things shapes how we feel and how much we suffer. As a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I offer tools that are evidence-based and proven effective-both in research and in my own work with clients. By shifting our thoughts and behaviors, we can transform every part of our lives and relationships. We don't have to be prisoners to unhelpful thoughts; we have ways to work through them. CBT can help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, relationship struggles, and more. I'd be honored to support you in creating meaningful change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you come in, I will listen attentively to your story because you are the expert on that, not me. You know your priorities and the areas that are bothering you the most. It can range from a diagnosed psychopathology that you have struggled with to self-development goals that you would like to achieve. I will present to you in more detail the foundation of my theoretical orientation and the tools that I use. towards the end of our first session. I use worksheets to help visualize what we will be working with. You will bring in your issues and whatever goals you see prior and we will take it from there.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
