Dr. Sisto is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon with special interests in trauma and limb preservation.
He is committed to delivering patient-focused care and formulating specific treatment plans aimed at providing the best functional results and restoring patients' quality of life. Whether you're a professional athlete or weekend warrior, a well-thought-out plan will be constructed, including both nonoperative and operative options. Care is taken to ensure all information is conveyed in a manner the patient understands to optimize recovery and outcomes.
Dr. Sisto treats various foot and ankle conditions including bunions, hammertoes, bunionettes, arthritis, ligament and tendon injuries, fractures, sports injuries, Charcot neuroarthropathy, flat feet, and high arches. He has training in minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy, Ilizarov external fixation/deformity correction, total ankle arthroplasty, and revision surgery among other procedures.
After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Dr. Sisto earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency with added credentialing in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Legacy Health in Portland, OR, followed by a one-year fellowship in Reconstructive Foot/Ankle and Limb Preservation in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Sisto is passionate about research and teaching evidence-based medicine. He regularly speaks at conferences and has authored novel techniques in foot and ankle trauma surgery. He remains active in the profession and is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, and other organizations.
