What should a new client know about working with you?

As a social worker, my approach to therapy is deeply rooted in the core values of the dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships and social justice. Further, my approach is informed by many years of experience working with trauma in a major urban emergency room and I bring to therapy knowledge of the effects of physical and emotional trauma on my clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an active form of therapy. It is more than talking about problems, using ACT we will help you develop skills to unhook from challenging thoughts and feelings that exert influence on your behavior and get you on the road to living the life you want.
