My name is Kirk Henderson, and I live in Spring Hill, Tennessee. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) #6680, in the state of Louisiana, a Licensed Professional Counselor- Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) #5560, in the state of Tennessee, and a Licensed mental Health Counselor #LH61516078 (LMHC) in the staster of Washington. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Arts in General Psychology from the University of the Rockies, and a Master of Science in Continuing Education in Counseling and Psychology from the University of West Alabama. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and levels 1 and 2 of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a very laid-back, and easy style of communicating and interacting with clients. Connecting with my clients is extremely important, and because of this, I use a lot of humor, validation, and affirmation. I do also provide very directed psychoeducation, therapeutic interventions, and homework where needed. I am very serious about making sure my clients are getting the best care from me. I have been using telehealth therapy since 2019, and am very experienced in using a virtual platform to provide efficient therapy sessions that meet the client’s therapy goals.
