I am a master's level therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who is experienced in working with adult clients dealing with depression, anxiety, and other life stressors such as alcohol and drug issues. I use a mixture of methods, including talk therapy, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and problem-solving techniques, among others, to help those in need of assistance. My approach is professional, but person centered, and informal, with an initial assessment of client's presenting concerns, prior treatment, and background, and later sessions focused on solution-based interventions. I chose a helping profession, after having overcome some personal adversities in my own life, which inspired me with a passion for working with others who may also be struggling on their life journey. I'm a good listener, patient, and am married with 2 grown children, and enjoy music, reading, and spending time with family and our dog, Buddy.
