Psychotherapist

Feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or like you’re holding everything together for everyone else—but quietly running on empty? I provide therapy for teens (14+) and adults navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions, using a thoughtful and individualized approach that supports clarity, balance, and lasting change. Many of my clients appear capable on the outside but feel exhausted, stuck, or emotionally stretched beneath the surface. Together, we identify patterns, build practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change. My work is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based care, including CBT, ACT, EMDR, trauma-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. I also integrate nervous system awareness and stress-regulation techniques to support deeper, lasting emotional wellness—not just short-term symptom relief. I offer both insurance-based counseling and private pay options. Some clients prefer to use their insurance benefits, while others choose private pay for greater flexibility and a more personalized pace of care. With over 25 years of clinical experience, I provide a calm, supportive space where you feel understood and equipped to move forward with clarity and confidence.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, insomnia, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stretched thin, my goal is to provide a supportive and practical space for meaningful change. Clients often describe me as warm, collaborative, and direct. Therapy with me is both supportive and focused—we work toward insight, effective coping strategies, and real, sustainable progress. Our work is grounded in evidence-based clinical therapy. I also help clients understand how stress, emotional patterns, and the nervous system can impact overall well-being. When appropriate, we may incorporate stress-regulation and lifestyle strategies to support mental and emotional health. You can expect a personalized approach tailored to your goals, strengths, and pace—allowing the work to be both flexible and deeply individualized.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we focus on understanding what brings you in and clarifying what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, relevant history, and patterns you’ve noticed, while also giving you space to share at a pace that feels comfortable. From there, we collaboratively identify goals and develop a clear, practical plan. My approach is strengths-based and grounded in evidence-based therapies, with a focus on building tools you can apply in your daily life. Ongoing sessions may include identifying unhelpful thought patterns, processing past experiences, strengthening coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and developing healthier relationship dynamics. I also integrate an awareness of how stress and the nervous system can impact overall well-being, when appropriate. Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to guide, support, and gently challenge you when appropriate—always within a space that feels safe, respectful, and empowering. The pace and focus of our work are tailored to your individual needs and goals.

More information on payments and coverage

I am in-network with Cigna, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield for clinical counseling services. Coverage and benefits vary by individual plan, so I encourage you to verify your mental health benefits, including copayments, deductibles, and any session limitations prior to your first appointment. If you choose to use insurance, I will submit claims on your behalf. You are responsible for any copays, deductibles, or uncovered services as determined by your plan. Many clients choose to work on a private pay basis for greater flexibility, privacy, and a more individualized approach. Self-pay sessions are available, and payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I accept major credit cards as well as HSA/FSA cards. Please note that insurance coverage applies to clinical counseling services only.
