I'm Donna Mann, LICSW, with over 40 years in the behavioral health field. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University and have extensive experience treating mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and addiction. I recently retired as a School Social Worker after more than 30 years in education. For over 17 years, I worked in Infant Mental Health, treating children under five and their families in their natural environments. My approach As an integrative practitioner, I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Reality Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I believe that all people want to heal their deepest wounds to reach their greatest potential. Maximum healing is best achieved by connecting body, mind, and spirit while addressing the current situation. My focus Throughout my extensive career, I have worked in school settings, served on an upper management team for a Head Start grantee, treated toddlers and their families in Early Intervention programs, and provided therapy to children and adults in office settings. My communication style My communication style embraces whole-body listening. I embody a calm, open manner that fosters total acceptance of everyone who chooses me as their therapist. I provide a safe space where judgment is left at the door and unconditional support is offered while addressing your concerns and fears. My style is gentle—injecting humor as we work—while being direct when confronting the issues that brought you to therapy. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been drawn to helping people. My personal experiences have taken me through my own "dark night" of the soul, leading to deep personal growth and transformation.
