What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, with empathy and without judgment. My approach is warm, authentic, and focused on building trust and connection. I take pride in creating a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. My therapy style integrates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Narrative Therapy, empowering clients to find strength in their stories and to take actionable steps toward their goals. I tailor each session to your needs, collaborating with you to identify what healing and growth look like for you personally.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is about building rapport and gaining a clear understanding of your goals. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy and begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas for growth. In ongoing sessions, I often use a combination of Solution-Focused and Narrative approaches, encouraging reflection, curiosity, and empowerment. Whether you’re navigating family dynamics, emotional challenges, or life transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you and support your journey. My background as an educator helps me engage effectively with adolescents and families, while my training as a marriage and family therapist allows me to view each client within the larger context of their relationships, environment, and culture.

I scheduled a therapy appointment for my daughter through ZocDoc over a week in advance. I received multiple emails prompting me to complete intake forms and questionnaires, which I did. My daughter was eager to begin therapy and opened up while completing them. However, at the time of the appointment, I never received the video link. I called the office several times before and during the scheduled time and left two voicemails. No one reached out to explain the issue, reschedule, or even acknowledge what happened — not that day and not afterward. If the appointment time was unavailable or scheduled incorrectly, that should have been communicated ahead of time. The lack of follow-up and communication, especially when it involves a child’s mental health, is very disappointing. I do not recommend based on this experience.
