What should a new client know about working with you?

Since I am in a bicultural marriage and grew up around Japanese and Mexican culture, I feel more open-minded to how differences in thought don't mean "right or wrong." I believe that being open-minded to listening and learning is the best way to excel in not just being culturally sensitive but in better helping people from all kinds of backgrounds. I utilize solution focused brief therapy, narrative, and EFT for couples.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Progress looks like being able to make decisions more confidently when it comes to your daily life and what brought you into therapy; you will feel empowered and comfortable in your own skin with an arsenal of coping mechanisms and boundary-making abilities. I do assign homework for my clients as I believe that it's important to continue working on mental health outside the office as well. I work well with clients who are solution-focused, open-minded to change, and patient with themselves.
