Getting to know Donnica Carpenter

I am a seasoned older adult with twenty-five years of clincial experiences as a licenced mental health counselor. I have worked with families; caregivers; employees; and adults over 18 years old. I visited families in their homes over the years before doing telehealth visits on a permanent basis. I have extensive experiences providing mindfulness behavioral therapy along with CBT and grief counseling. Recently, I started training in Forest Bathing with your dog as I very interested in using nature therapy as a treatment modality for chronic health stressors. Before that, I provided animal assisted therapy with my dog, Woody where clients felt more at ease and relaxed discussing their challenges in their lives. As a mother of a teenage boy, I am married and have a senior dog named Woody.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
