Getting to know Dorian Turner

I work well with millennials and young adults experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and adults with serious mental illnesses. I provide a space free of judgment and shame. Through individual therapy, I help my clients gain a greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop healthy coping techniques for maladaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I strive to help my clients help themselves in identifying their current strengths while also working together to add to their toolkit. My go-to approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness using a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens. I am experienced in working with adolescents and adults. Clients can expect a relaxed environment coupled with compassion and non-judgment. As your therapist, we will work as a team and move at your pace, as I will meet you where you are in your life.
