Hi there, I'm Dzana! My name is Dzana Saynes, DM, MS, LPC, a therapist with a Lithuanian upbringing and accent. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and my Bachelor’s from Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy. I believe unique approaches to life changes and difficulties can be accomplished through cooperative engagement aimed at improving or making powerful changes in your unique life situations. I specialize in helping clients improve interpersonal skills, reduce symptoms of mental illness, develop better cognitive and emotional skills, and improve self-esteem. My approach I use trauma-focused therapy models, including EMDR, CPT, and trauma-focused CBT interventions. I also integrate a multicultural counseling approach with Solution-focused therapy, Person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and existential therapy. I am always there to assist and help figure things out alongside them. My journey to mental healthcare Coming from generational trauma from Eastern Europe, I am compassionate toward everyone who is suffering and ready to explore available help. I believe readiness to ask for help is key. I speak with an accent and proudly embrace my Lithuanian ancestry. My grandmother was a German concentration camp survivor and single mother who instilled in me the values of hard work, female strength, and independence. My goals for you Goal setting is collaborative. Starting with small, clear, and achievable goals is the most important focus for me as a clinician. My first session with you We get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. This includes history-taking conversations. I prepare clients that the first session is an intake session.
