Getting to know Earnell McGhaney
?You are the expert on you.? This is a statement that I love sharing with my clients because it emphasizes that you are the most important part of this relationship. Therapy is an opportunity to grow and explore oneself, and I believe the relationship between a client and therapist is of the utmost importance. I hold this relationship in high regard and look forward to walking alongside you during this journey. I specialize in trauma counseling and marriage counseling. My goal in therapy is not just symptom reduction but liberation from suffering.
I work primarily with adults and adolescents and am available to see individuals, families, and couples. I have received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Gottman Couples Counseling. I offer both video and phone sessions.
I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.
Here is a little about me: I am originally from South Carolina and have lived here most of my life. I enjoy spending my free time reading and playing with my children. I also love martial arts, traveling, and playing the saxophone. That is enough about me-what I am really looking forward to is learning more about you.

The provider sent the link 15 minutes late. When I connected, I was never let into the room. I contacted Rula to ensure I wouldn’t be charged for a missed session, the operator said they would call the provider to have them reach out. This has not happened yet.
