Psychotherapist
1811 W North Ave, Ste 402, Chicago, IL
I became a therapist because I’m passionate about supporting and empowering others through life’s challenges while creating a space where people feel safe, seen, and truly heard. My own mental health journey has deeply shaped my understanding of how essential compassion, support, and community are to the healing process, and it continues to shape the way I show up in my work. I also recognize that not everyone has access to a strong support system, and for some, therapy can be a place where they experience genuine care, connection, and be reminded that they don’t have to navigate things alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients of all ages, as well as couples and families, and I’m proud to provide an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients. My clinical focus includes managing life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, grief, and stress. I support clients exploring their identity, building self-esteem, and navigating relationship challenges. I have experience working with formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrating into the community and with those navigating systemic challenges. I believe that our past experiences and the systems around us shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, and I strive to meet each client with warmth, curiosity, and genuine care. I honor the resilience each person brings into the room and move at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself, reflect openly, and gain tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and clarity. We will create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing not only what brought you here but also celebrating the positive aspects of your life. I believe therapy works best when it feels supportive, collaborative, and grounded in trust. You can expect a personalized approach, with evidence-based interventions carefully tailored to meet your unique needs. My experience includes working with the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities as they navigate their identities and overcome complex systemic barriers. I approach our work with compassion and empathy, making sure you feel safe, comfortable, and truly supported every step of the way. I will honor and celebrate your unique journey. I also recognize that mental health can be stigmatized within many families and communities, and we can explore these challenges together to foster understanding and healing. My hope is that you will walk away feeling more self-aware, resilient, and confident in yourself and your ability to face life’s challenges.
