Do you ever feel like your brain just won't slow down? You're replaying conversations from three days ago, overthinking something you said, forgetting the one thing you were supposed to remember, or feeling completely overwhelmed by a to-do list that everyone else seems to manage just fine. Maybe you've spent years being told you're too sensitive, too emotional, too distracted, or that you just need to try harder. Maybe you're really good at looking like you have everything together, but behind the scenes, you're exhausted from trying to keep up. Or maybe you're a parent watching your teenager struggle with big emotions, shutting down, withdrawing, or feeling like nobody really understands them. You want to help, but you're not always sure how to reach them. Hi, I'm Eden! 💛 I'm a therapist who loves working with teens and adults navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and all the messy, complicated parts of being human. As someone who has ADHD myself and is also a parent, I understand that life doesn't always look like the perfectly organized version we're told it should. Sometimes you're doing your absolute best and still feel like you're falling behind. Sometimes your brain has 15 tabs open, three of them are playing music, and you have no idea where the music is coming from. 😊 I know how important it is to have someone who understands that different brains need different kinds of support. I especially enjoy working with people who have spent a lot of their lives feeling misunderstood. Maybe you've known you're neurodivergent for years, or maybe you're only recently starting to wonder whether ADHD or autism could explain some of your experiences. You don't need a formal diagnosis to start exploring those questions. And if you're a parent looking for therapy for your teen, I know how much it matters to find someone your child can actually connect with. My goal is to create a space where teens feel comfortable being them

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've had experiences where you felt dismissed, misunderstood, or like you had to explain yourself over and over again. With me, there's no pressure to have the perfect words. You can show up with a million things to talk about, absolutely no idea where to start, or just a general feeling that something isn't working and you want things to change. We'll start by getting to know each other, talking about what's been going on, and figuring out what you'd like to get out of therapy. For teens, that might mean having a place to talk about friendships, school stress, identity, family relationships, or emotions that feel impossible to explain. For adults, we might explore ADHD or autistic traits, burnout, trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship patterns, or the pressure of trying to keep everything together while taking care of everyone else. Some sessions might involve processing difficult experiences. Others might focus on understanding your emotions, learning how your brain works, or finding practical ways to make everyday life feel a little less overwhelming. There's no one-size-fits-all approach here, and I don't expect every session to look the same. Outside of therapy, I'm a parent who loves getting lost in a good book or fantasy world, spending time in nature, traveling, and being with my family. I understand how busy and unpredictable life can get, and I believe therapy should be something that supports your life, not another thing you feel like you're failing at. All of my sessions are virtual throughout Michigan, so you can join from a space where you feel comfortable. Whether you're curled up on the couch, wearing your favorite sweatshirt, or your pet decides to join us, you're welcome exactly as you are. You don't have to become a completely different person to feel better. Sometimes healing starts with finally understanding the person you've been all along. I'd love to be part of that process. 💛

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I don't believe therapy should feel like another place where you're being told what you're doing wrong. You probably have enough of that in your life already. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, collaborative, and full of genuine curiosity. I'm not going to sit there with a clipboard, silently judging your choices or expecting you to have everything figured out. Some days we'll have meaningful, emotional conversations. Other days we might laugh, get sidetracked, or spend time untangling something that's been bothering you for weeks. And if you lose your train of thought halfway through a sentence? Trust me, we'll figure it out. 😊 I use trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and strengths-based approaches because I believe understanding why we struggle is just as important as figuring out what to do about it. Maybe you've spent years masking to fit in. Maybe rejection feels incredibly personal, even when you logically know it shouldn't. Maybe you've experienced things that have changed how safe you feel in relationships or in the world. We can make room for all of that. I'm a big believer in psychoeducation, which is really just a fancy way of saying I love helping people understand their brains, their emotions, and the patterns that show up in their lives. I won't just hand you a list of coping skills and send you on your way. We'll work together to find strategies that make sense for your actual life, including the messy parts. And while I'll always meet you with compassion, I'm also someone who will gently challenge you when I think it could help you grow.
