Getting to know Edith Turner

UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I find working with clients on their path to self-actualization to be very enriching. I am mindful that therapy can unearth things one never knew existed and lead to uncomfortable feelings that can be difficult to manage. My role as a "Helper" is to build a relationship with clients so they feel supported on their journey. My hope as a therapist is that clients feel like they have a personal cheerleader or coach—that they know they have someone in their corner, acknowledging the work and efforts they are putting forth. I have a wealth of experience working with underserved populations and with a myriad of ages and cultures. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Downtown.
