What should a new client know about working with you?
Our first session is really about getting to know you, what brought you in, what's been going on, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. No pressure to have it all figured out. From there, sessions feel like a real back-and-forth where we explore what's keeping you stuck, build self-awareness, and work on concrete skills when needed. I tailor my approach to you, drawing from attachment-based therapy, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
You'll actually be heard here, not just assessed. My style is warm and conversational, direct when it's helpful, and patient when you need space. I work with people who are ready to explore their patterns in a way that feels natural, not forced, and I don't believe therapy has to feel heavy every single session. Some people want the why, others want tools that work, and most want both, and we figure that out together.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Hi, I’m Edna! If you’ve ever found yourself overthinking a text, questioning where you stand in a relationship, or wondering “why do I keep ending up here?”, you’re in the right place.
I work with young adults and adults navigating relationship anxiety, breakups, communication challenges, anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite explain, while others want connection but feel held back by fear or past experiences. I especially enjoy working with people who are ready to explore their emotional world in a way that feels real—building self-awareness, strengthening communication, and showing up more fully in relationships.
As a first-generation Albanian American, I understand that in many families, everything is “fine” until it isn’t. Therapy isn’t always talked about or encouraged. If you grew up in a home where feelings were pushed down, struggles stayed private, or asking for help felt like weakness, I get it. That context is part of your story, and we work with it—not around it.
I was born and raised in Chicago, the oldest in a first-generation family navigating divorce, single parenthood, and blended family dynamics. These experiences shaped how I understand relationships and why I believe people deserve support in building connections that feel good—not just familiar. Together, we’ll work on communication, boundaries, and breaking cycles that were never yours to carry.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in attachment. I integrate CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, EFT, and attachment-based work, tailoring sessions to fit you.
I earned my MA in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. Outside of therapy, I enjoy dance workouts, reading, sports, and a good comfort show.
