Getting to know Dr. Edward Perrotti-Sousis

As a therapist with a Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University, a Master of Social Work from the State University of New York, Albany, and degrees from Empire State University (Associate's and Bachelor's), I am committed to building trusting relationships with clients to empower them to achieve positive change and reach their therapeutic goals. My training, including an internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, has equipped me to provide a safe and judgment-free environment where clients can explore their vulnerabilities and build confidence.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a multidisciplinary approach to therapy to tailor to the needs of the client but my foundation is CBT. I have extensive training in motivational interviewing and positive psychology that I utilize during the process. I specialize working with anxiety, depression, trauma, military veterans, grief and loss, life transitions and life planning.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You are the expert of your own life. I stride on building a safe and trusting environment to empower clients to take back control of their lives and feel confident doing so. This is your journey, I am just along for the ride to help guide you to your destination.
