I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I received my bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and my master’s degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. I have a passion for connecting with individuals on an emotional level and taking an eclectic approach that is best suited to your unique wants and needs. I work with adults and military veterans coping with depression, anxiety, substance use, and PTSD.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic orientation combines elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness meditation. I am fluent in Spanish and offer services in this language.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a Hispanic provider, I am driven and motivated to work within the context of my clients' ethnic backgrounds as they align with their treatment goals.

Edwin is an overall great therapist, there’s no other way to put it. He is very knowledgeable, understanding, and a very lighthearted person. Whenever there’s a problem he makes sure to thoroughly discuss the problem and dissect each and every emotion there may be, and helps resolve said problem with utmost honesty on the situation. 10/10
