“Eileen is very intelligent, she reads a lot of books and recommends those to me, which are very helpful to understand my own feelings. The best thing that I have learned from her is about acceptance. I had a lot of self doubt, self criticism. until the moment when Eileen said” it sounds difficult for you”, I teared up ; I didn’t know those bad moments , bad thoughts, and bad actions in my life are acceptable. I have learned from her how to be aware of and how to analyze my emotions.”

Getting to know Eileen C. Moran

Hi there; I'm Eileen. It's good to see you here. If you're reading this, you've already taken a big step towards your own healing and growth. Sometimes, getting to the point of seeking outside support can feel like a journey in and of itself. I hope I can be a part of your journey from here. A little about me: I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Drexel University and have experience helping folks with a broad range of issues, specializing in healing from past trauma. I have extensive training in a number of evidence-based techniques and am constantly seeking new ways to support the people I serve. I recognize that trauma impacts every person differently, so I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy. It is my goal that you feel seen and heard, and that your treatment is tailored to your individual needs and life experience. I also believe in treating the whole person-mind, body, and spirit-and often incorporate mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and other mind/body practices into my work. I'm interested in learning about you-your life, your experiences-and then using what I learn to help you toward your goals. I believe you are the key to your own healing and that you are more than what has happened to you. I see my role as guiding you and offering tools that empower you to overcome what might be holding you back-whether that's past trauma, struggles with anxiety or depression, unhealthy relationships, or patterns of thought or behavior no longer serving you. Whatever your goals may be, you deserve compassion and support as you work toward them. I'm looking forward to providing that to you. Let's get started!

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we first meet, my focus is on understanding as much about you and your life as I can. To that end, our first session will be a lot of me asking you questions to try to gather as much context as possible. We will also establish initial goals for therapy. From there, we'Il begin to focus your treatment on those goals. I often joke with my clients that future sessions will feel a lot less like an interrogation, and a lot more like a conversation. I'll bring in specific theories and approaches over the course of our work together that feel relevant to your growth. Sometimes, we might agree on "homework" between sessions, as a way of carrying the work throughout the week. Throughout it all, we will reflect on the progress you make, refining goals as we see fit.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

great experience
It's been about 2 months and I really feel that I've learned a lot about myself already. Eileen is so easy to talk to and I feel comfortable sharing things with her without judgement.
I came to Eileen with some lingering trauma issues and she has helped me get my life back on track. I highly recommend that you work with her.
Eileen has been amazing so far, I've recommended her to all of my friends!! I enjoy how understanding she is - I have never felt judged in any way by her which means I have opened up a lot more to her than I have ever done for previous therapists. And I love how incredible she is at helping me talk through thought patterns to solve my problems with, always in a very encouraging way and backed by theory which I really appreciate. Highly recommend Eileen to anyone searching for therapy right now <3
