“I can’t say enough good things about Eilen. I was struggling with parenting stress and some old trauma that kept coming up, and I didn’t know where to start. From the very first session (over video), she made me feel completely safe and not judged at all. She’s warm, down-to-earth, and really good at connecting with people. Being bilingual (English and Spanish) was a huge plus for me—it let me open up in a way I couldn’t with other therapists. She’s trauma-informed, uses practical skills from CBT and DBT, and also knows a lot about parenting (she’s trained in Triple P). Everything feels tailored to what I actually need. If you want someone who’s compassionate but also direct and helpful, Eilen is the one. 100% recommend”

She’s warm, down-to-earth, and really good at connecting with people. She’s super easy to talk to, listens without judging, and just has this natural gift for connecting with people—you don’t feel like you’re talking to a “professional,” you feel like you’re talking to someone who really cares and gets it. I love that she speaks Spanish too because it helps me express things more naturally. No fluff, just real, honest and caring support. Getting to know Eilen Cabrera Gonzalez

Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, past trauma, depression, or parenting/relationship stress? You're not alone - I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) LCSW-QS with over 8 years of experience supporting adults, teens, children, and parents through crisis, trauma, and life transitions. I specialize in trauma-informed CBT and DBT, and I offer parenting support through the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). My approach is compassionate yet direct: I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard while we build practical skills for emotion regulation, healthier relationships, and lasting progress. Telehealth sessions are available across Florida. If you’re ready to feel more in control and move forward with confidence, I’d be honored to support you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work collaboratively and directly with each client. My style combines compassion with honest, direct challenge—creating space for you to feel understood while gently examining patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I primarily use trauma-informed CBT and DBT principles, adapted to your needs, along with elements from family systems and crisis intervention when relevant. Sessions focus on building practical skills: managing emotions, improving relationships, processing difficult experiences, and developing resilience. Whether you're an individual working through anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions—or part of a couple or family addressing communication and parenting—I tailor the work to your goals and cultural context. Being bilingual allows me to provide therapy in Spanish when preferred. The core is always creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can be honest without fear of judgment, while we actively work toward measurable change

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, we'll focus on understanding your story and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. I'll ask about your current challenges, background, and any previous experiences with mental health support, while giving you plenty of space to share at your own pace. The environment is calm, confidential, and collaborative—no pressure or judgment. My goal is to build trust quickly so you leave feeling heard, with a clear sense of how we might work together. We'll identify 1-2 initial priorities or goals and outline what progress could look like. Expect an open conversation rather than a rigid assessment; many clients tell me they feel relieved that the process feels straightforward and human from the start.
