Eizabeth Balentine, LSW

Eizabeth Balentine, LSW

Psychotherapist
1701 E Woodfield Rd, Ste 330, Schaumburg, IL
As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I work with adults and young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, dissociation, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping young adults navigate family dynamics, emotional challenges, and periods of uncertainty while building confidence, clarity, and emotional regulation. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, integrating the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I am also EMDR-trained and currently pursuing certification. I believe our experiences shape our nervous systems, relationships, and sense of self. Together, we explore patterns with curiosity and compassion, process emotional wounds, and develop practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy baking sourdough bread and performing improv comedy, which remind me of the importance of creativity, patience, playfulness, and embracing the unexpected. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating a life transition, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, my goal is to provide a supportive space where you can feel heard, strengthen your connection to yourself, and move toward healing and growth.
