Elana Cirulnick, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Florida. My professional background is broad and diverse, including individual counseling, employee assistance mental health programming, and crisis intervention during natural disasters. This range of experience allows me to meet clients where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs. I often work with adults and seniors who struggle with anxiety, stress, poor sleep, or feeling like worries are keeping them from fully enjoying life. Many of my clients are busy and feel they don’t have time or resources for self-care — together, we explore practical ways to make it possible.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in both evidence-based practices and lived experience. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes at their own pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is a gentle starting point. We’ll take time to get to know one another, and you can share what brought you to therapy at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I may ask some questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals, always with respect for your boundaries. Together, we’ll begin to develop a treatment plan that reflects your needs and priorities. Many clients leave the first session feeling supported, grounded, and more hopeful. Clients often describe our sessions as comforting and uplifting. I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and integrate creativity, mindfulness, and nature to help clients feel grounded and supported. I work with and support clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities. I am open about my own sobriety when relevant, while always respecting each client’s unique path.
