Licensed by the State of Colorado, I hold a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education. My practice is rooted in continuous learning and evolving, ensuring that I bring the best possible care to my clients. As a person-focused therapist, I believe that the relationship of trust and safety between client and therapist is the catalyst for growth and change. My approach is tailored to each individual's needs, providing observation, challenge, homework, psychoeducation, and other support in harmony with what you find most helpful in your process. While your physical safety is always my primary concern, I also respect your values in defining the wellness you seek. In my work with couples and families, I use a systemic model based on the research and approaches from The Gottman Institute and Attachment Theory. When working with individuals, I draw from Internal Family Systems, which posits that we are all made up of many parts, and creating love and harmony among these parts brings healing. Additionally, I incorporate the research of Dr. Brene Brown to help develop and increase emotional intelligence and eliminate the toxicity of shame. I firmly believe in neuroplasticity, the idea that we can change and integrate new ways of being. I specialize in a range of areas, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, family relationships, gender identity, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, and trauma. My practice also includes the option for SonderMind Video Telehealth, providing flexible and accessible care.
