Getting to know Elena Grantcharski

My name is Elena and I am a licensed professional counselor with a master’s degree in clinical psychology. In my practice, I strongly believe in meeting each client where they are with a holistic approach. As a first-generation Bulgarian-American, I deeply understand the complex connotations and stigmas attached to mental health within immigrant families and otherwise. Because of this, I strive to create a space where you feel truly seen, validated, and safe to explore your story.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My work experiences include working at a community center where I provided individual therapy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I also have experience in the hospital setting (IOP), where I led groups for individuals with depression and anxiety.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I utilize a trauma informed approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I have worked with adults who deal with anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, personality disorders, and more
