Elham Mandavi Berenji, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello and welcome! My name is Elham "Ellie" Mandavi Berenji, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and the owner of Overcoming & Becoming PLLC. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, San Antonio. I am a millennial therapist here to help other millennial women who are going through life transitions such as pregnancy, motherhood, relationships, coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and past trauma. I’m not a typical psychotherapist who would just nod, smile, take notes, and only sit there and listen. Although I use those basic skills, I also work with you at a deeper level using EMDR, Hypnotherapy, and Psychoanalysis to get to the roots of the issues you’re facing today, so we can process and resolve them appropriately.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your reactions to your everyday life can be traced back to your childhood and past history. If you gain a deeper understanding of your past trauma you can take more control over you life. Together, I will help you identify, process and heal from your past trauma while walking with you step by step during your healing journey. I use EMDR, Hypnotherapy, Psychoanalysis and attachment-trauma focused therapy as my main approaches to work on your wounded inner child. I know firsthand that therapy works, and I genuinely invest in you as my client to help you become who you really want to be. If you have tried traditional talk therapy in the past and that did not help you see the changes you were hoping, I might be the right person for you. I help you discover and heal your wounded inner child using different evidence-based modalities based on your need.
