Psychotherapist
30 N Michigan Ave, Ste 925, Chicago, IL
I work with people who carry many layers to their story, whether that means balancing family expectations, managing school or career pressures, navigating relationships, or trying to find yourself when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. I care deeply about supporting individuals from all backgrounds, including people of color, first generation, LGBTQIA+, and anyone who feels the weight of multiple identities or expectations. I earned my Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago. My clinical experience includes supporting clients through grief, loss, major life transitions, identity exploration, and the emotional impact of difficult decisions, including pet loss. These experiences shaped how I show up for those navigating complex feelings, inner conflict, or moments that challenge their sense of self. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and cultural awareness. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to healing, and I focus on creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. Together, we will slow things down so you can reflect, make meaning of your experiences, and move toward a stronger connection to yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even scary, and I do my best to make the process feel safe and supportive. I will meet you where you are, with warmth and without judgment. You are the expert of your own life, and our work together is about honoring your story and building space for healing. I care about creating both a physically and emotionally safe environment where you can show up as you are. Sometimes that means diving into family history, intergenerational experiences, or cultural and spiritual beliefs, and other times it means focusing on what is happening in your life right now. My approach is collaborative, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and especially attuned to first generation and marginalized communities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first sessions, we will spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of it. It can take a couple of sessions to know if we are a good fit, and if that feels frustrating, I will be there to guide and hold space for that process. We will set goals together and move at a pace that feels right for you. Some sessions may focus on grief, trauma, or past experiences, while others may center on day-to-day stressors like boundaries, family dynamics, or relationships. No matter the focus, I work to create space where you feel supported, understood, and able to move toward growth and healing.
