Getting to know Dr. Elise Bon-Rudin

I am a compassionate, Harvard-trained, telehealth clinician in NY's Hudson Valley. For nearly 30 years I've worked with people to make changes at home, at work, and in how they see themselves. Life can be hard, but good change can happen. We'll make a plan to make the changes you want, using your ideas and experiences, and telehealth will feel as though we're in the same room. We'll make a real change, not just "manage" what has been bothering you. I have loved doing this work for 25 years. For 5 years I served on the clinical faculty of a major medical center.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am trained in evidence-based methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy. I specialize in working with individuals who have faced upsetting changes and trauma. My approach is based on your strengths, our relationship, and good science.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Together I would like to learn your ideas about the problem that you want to solve or change. Maybe you have changed things in the past, or you have been thinking about how to change or fix this problem. I will give you a 4-item form that will take 3-5 minutes to complete. We will talk about it. Then we will make a plan for our next meeting.
