Starting therapy can be overwhelming. Congratulations on starting your journey of self-discovery. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life challenges. My counseling style is warm and supportive. My therapeutic approach combines psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral treatment. I look forward to working with you. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. This approach is hands-on and gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. I may adapt my practice to meet your specific needs. Your goals and progress are my primary focus. Together, we’ll identify challenges and work on strategies to help you move towards your individual goals. Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts or sadness? I work with adults who are managing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and those seeking support for self-esteem issues. Whether you’re working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring your personal goals, I’ll work with you to create a plan that builds self-confidence and personal growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style is warm and supportive. Offering you the opportunity to share and reflect on challenging issues. Providing a nonjudgmental and calm environment so you feel comfortable sharing feelings and emotions. My therapy journey began with understanding human resilience and the desire to help others find strength through life’s hardest challenges. During my graduate training, I had the opportunity to work with survivors of trauma and loss. This experience allowed me to see how powerful therapy can be in recovery, and my committed to supporting others through their healing journeys. I am driven by the fundamental belief that everyone has the potential for positive growth and change. Seeing my clients gain confidence and find the ability to move forward is extremely rewarding.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that through our struggles, we find emotional growth. Working together, we can find ways to explore and meet your goals, improve your quality of life, and find your passion through self-discovery. Our first session will be an opportunity for you to share your worries and concerns. We’ll explore your background and what some of your goals in therapy are. This is a process, and we’ll continue to explore together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to support and guide you through each step of this process.
