Getting to know Elitza Lauterwasser

My clinical experience includes working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have worked in various settings such as inpatient, residential centers, community mental health, and private practice. I graduated from Loyola University in 2009. It is important that clients have the freedom of self-expression and are not rushed through the therapeutic process. Working collaboratively, we will identify a framework that is validating and promotes growth. My approach is honest, empathetic, and relational in order to help clients gain self-awareness. I have over 14ys of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I treat clients with various conditions and specialize in treating Eating Disorders. I have a DBT certification as well as Certified Training in Trauma. I have a practice in Naperville and see clients virtually in AZ.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I meet clients where they are and work on creating an individualized treatment plan to best meet client's needs. I have a gentle approach but direct when needed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the intake I will obtain psychosocial history. We will discuss what bring you in and come up with treatment goals. Sessions are 53min-60min.
