Eliza Strawbridge, LCSW

Eliza Strawbridge, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NJ
I am passionate about helping women uncover and shine a light on their true life goals and desires. I believe that from girlhood, we receive messages about how we are expected to live our lives. Yet, it is living as our fully embodied and authentic selves—not following the life scripts set by others—that brings us happiness and self-fulfillment. This life is possible for you! I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University, which has equipped me to support women across the lifespan. Having my own practice allows me to work with diverse groups, including the GLBTQ+ community and the perinatal population. If you think we might work well together, please do not hesitate to reach out.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a warm and nurturing clinician and I strive to create a safe space where people feel comfortable to be themselves, in all of their colors. All thoughts and feelings, even those that pertain to me, are welcome in the room.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

People who come into my world of therapy can expect to be listened to and truly heard. My therapeutic approach is based on the psychodynamic model. Strengths-based in nature, my work is also informed by Bowen Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and feminist theory.
