Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Eliza. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the complexities of the human experience. I believe in the transformative power of exploring one's internal landscape to navigate life's challenges, whether they stem from grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or relationship issues. By fostering a compassionate and nonjudgmental space, I guide my clients through this exploration, helping them uncover insights and develop the skills needed to not just cope, but to thrive. Healing is hard work, but I strive to infuse our therapeutic process with humor and joy, fostering an environment where growth is not only possible but enjoyable. Together, we'll embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, empowering you to reclaim agency over your life and forge a path towards healing and fulfillment. With a foundation in social work and a passion for holistic healing, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my practice. I graduated from Columbia University with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2022, and since then have become a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and addiction counselor candidate (ADDC) in Colorado. My journey towards facilitating mental health and well-being extends beyond traditional therapy settings. For over a decade, I worked in outdoor education, guiding youth through transformative experiences in both therapeutic and recreational contexts, facilitating upwards of 40 month-long expeditions. These expeditions have solidified my belief in the profound connection between inner and outer exploration, witnessing firsthand the transformative power reflection and exploration hold. My credentials and training further reflect this holistic approach, including training in Somatic Bodywork, practice in Vipassana meditation, and qualifications as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT) and Wilderness Medicine Instructor. My focus lies in assisting individuals ready to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery through experiential exploration. Drawing from a mosaic of theoretical approaches, including somatic practices, cognitive and dialectical therapies, inner child work, attachment theory, and liberation models, I tailor my methods to suit each client's unique needs. I firmly believe in your inherent wisdom, and thus, I strive to co-create our therapeutic journey together, empowering you to center and trust your own expertise. Whether you're seeking to rekindle joy in life, find ease and peace, or integrate past experiences into a new reality where you can thrive, I am dedicated to accompanying you on this path of growth and healing. Together, we will navigate your inner landscape, unlocking your potential for profound transformation and empowerment.
