Therapy is an important step, but it can feel like a big one. Thank you for entrusting me with this opportunity to walk beside you and bear witness in this journey. I cannot promise an easy path, but I can ensure that, when you are ready, I will provide a safe and supportive environment for growth and understanding. I employ a person-centered and holistic approach that can be tailored to meet your needs and paced to fit your lifestyle. My approach I have been fortunate to serve as a therapist in a variety of settings in Indiana for nearly two decades. I am dually licensed as both a Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Addictions Counselor, as well as being licensed in several states beyond Indiana. My inclusive therapeutic approach can best be described as eclectic and trauma-informed. I am trained in Illness Management and Recovery, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, addiction approaches, family systems therapy, and a variety of experiential approaches that can be tailored to fit the needs of each client. I truly believe in the therapeutic process and relationship. This is your experience, and it needs to work for you. During sessions, you can expect much support and reinforcement (and some gentle challenging) in a safe and collaborative environment. While we may wish it, therapists do not hold the answers for others. We function more like trail guides so that when you are standing in the dark or unknown, we can illuminate the path that has been there all along. And just as that guide merely shows the path, a therapist cannot do the work for you. This is a team event until you can take all the skills and tools you've learned and apply them. My goal is to work myself out of a job for every single client I meet. My focus As mentioned, this is a relationship, and we must work together to get the best results. I will give all of my energy and attention to each client in session.
