I am Elizabeth Becerril, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings, including hospitals, trauma rooms, hospice, long-term care, and the Texas National Guard. Each environment has given me the opportunity to assist clients from various cultures, religious beliefs, ethnicities, and races who were facing difficult times and needed an unbiased, compassionate, and supportive person to help them find their way back and live a better life. I incorporate a multi-modal approach when working with clients, recognizing that each individual is unique in their worldview and life experiences. Over the course of my career, I have supported clients battling depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. A bit of personal information about me: I am a former Army wife who proudly served alongside her husband for 24 years. Army life allowed me to live in different parts of the United States and appreciate the uniqueness of each state. I have four children who have taught me how to cherish time and grow in patience. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and my Bachelor of Social Work from Florida International University. I am bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English. Carl Jung, the psychologist, once said, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” Therapy is the first step in choosing who you want to be, and I look forward to going on that journey of discovery with you.
